I am running for few years and participated in many half marathons, trail runs and have been running in challenging weather conditions however I was not able to get the desired results and my performance was not that great. I joined BootCamp Yellow group in Oct 2015 and to enhance my performance and gain strength to run distance of half marathon. I was gaining strength through the focused strength training program however I wanted to achieve the new heights in Year 2016. Though my strength training was great however my nutrition was lacking and I realized this during my practice run. That’s the moment I decided to consult a dietician who can give me customized program which will balance my strength training and running schedule.
Jatin Arora (Head Coach & Founder-BootCamp Yellow, he is my coach too) gave me the reference of Dr Gitanjali Jaswal. I met Dr Gitanjali in Oct 2016 with high expectation and she didn’t disappoint me. At the very first meeting only I decided to go ahead with Dr Gitanjali’s diets since she has very strong and proven credentials. I had very specific goal in mind which was to have diet plan to increase the running performance. When I met Gitanjali first time my body weight was around 67 kgs however body fat percentage was high (around 29%) which was not healthy for long distance runners. Gitanjali did initial analysis and then recommended the diet plan which I took for 90 days. One of the Important aspect of the diet plan was you need to diligently & religiously follow the plan and continue to do strength training & running program.
In Year 2016 I had a great run in Airtel Delhi Half Marathon then followed by Standard Charted Mumbai Marathon in Jan 2017. I followed the diet plan for three months and at the end of third month I lost approx. 5 kgs of body weight and my body fat percentage was 20%. I believe I was able to achieve the objectives which I had initially planned. I highly recommend Dr Gitanjali’s diet plan to every long distance runner who wants to achieve maximum performance.
